The pieces in our Limited Edition Collection are just that, limited.  The rocks I use in my studio come from many different locations.  Some of my rocks come directly from quarries, some are imported from foreign countries, and some are purchased from specialty rock suppliers.  I am relatively certain of having a constant supply of these types of stones, with typical characteristics.  The bulk of my work is with these types of stone.  Every piece I create is unique, because in nature, no two rocks will ever be exactly the same, but I can, with relative confidence be assured that I can produce pieces with similar basic qualities using these types of raw materials.

With the Limited Edition and Masterpiece Collections, that is not the case.  The rocks used in these two collections do not come from an established supply.  They may have been picked up on my ranch, or a neighbor’s ranch, or a walk on the beach.  I may have found them along the road side or in a dry riverbed.  I may have purchased them in a specialty rock shop or on a vacation in some remote area. The point is, that I may or may not ever run across that type of stone again; I may not even know what type of stone it is, or whether or not I will ever find one even similar.  These pieces cannot be offered as part of any series because I have no regular, reliable supply of the raw materials I would need to replicate them with even vague consistency.  They are perhaps the most exciting to create, however, because I just never know what to expect when I get into a different type of stone.

This brings me to The Masterpiece Collection.  These stones surpass even the Limited Edition Collection, in their uniqueness and exclusivity.  These treasures poses such bold qualities of splendor and magnificence that they truly deserve the title Masterpiece.
